THE BEST!!

Many many years ago

in a land so far away

God saw the need for something

so he formed a plan that day

He had made all kinds of animals

all creatures great and small

but there was something missing

for this, he had to stahl

what could it be I've missed he said?

with a furrow on his brow

surely theres enough animals

for "everybody" now

there were fish, and birds, and mammals

species of all kinds

some ran, some jumped, some stood, some lay

all proud in their own minds

why; there was even "mans best friend"

a companion to the end

so what could I have missed?

he just couldn't comprehend

then like a jolt of lightening!

it came to him that day

why; I forgot about the CAT!

and to this very day

cats get a frown upon their face

a disgusted sort of stare

how could he have made them LAST!!

how could he even DARE!

so with that tail held HIGH in the air

they stately walk away:

"big deal, so what, it's nothin", they claim

God saved "THE BEST", for the last

that's what HE DID that day!!!!!
