Classic Cars

We would like to offer all you gearheads out there a place to 'brag' about your favorite set of wheels!! Bj had alot of fun with her 1986 Mustang GT, showing it both locally and nationally, and even though it's an "era gone by" for her, it doesn't mean our passion has ended. If you have a vehicle that you'd like to show off (it doesn't even have to be a car!), please visit the "Contact Us" page and let us know. We'd be more than happy to post photos and information about your vehicle here.

This 1965 Mustang, V-8, 287 was submitted by David from Two Cats Two. The black and white photo on your left was taken in 1965 or 1966, while his dad was doing some remodeling on their home. The dog in the photo is "Peanuts". The color photo on your right was taken in 1967. The pictures and information below were also submitted by David. Thank you, David!

1974 Ford Pinto. It has a 2-bbl, 4-cyl, 2.3L engine, automatic transmission. Mileage - 188K. The only major work has been a transmission overhaul in 1989. We bought it new in February 1975. Two years ago, two HS teens spotted my car and asked what year it was. They were taking a auto repair class in HS. Each had their own Pintos and were restoring their cars. They were very impressed they saw another Pinto on the road. Last summer, when I was at a gas station, a man who was driving a 1974 Chevy Camino, wanted to know about the Pinto. He was equally impressed with its condition, and more so that the engine hasn't been overhauled yet. The close-up pic was taken back in 1977, possibly. I washed the car special before taking its new picture on Jan 30, 2004. The Pinto bears Colorado collector plates.
1978 Buick LeSabre. It has a 4-bbl, V-8, 350 cubic inch Oldsmobile engine, automatic transmission. Mileage - approximately 294K. The only major work my dad's car has had is also a transmission overhaul in 1995. He bought it new in September 1978. He had it repainted with a clear coat finish in 1994. Last year, the Buick was also plated with Colorado collector plates. Picture taken in 1978.
Here's some information on Colorado license plates:
Colorado collector plates - vehicle must be at least 25 years of age.
Colorado antique (horseless carriage) plates - vehicle must have been made before 1942, and restricted in operation (car clubs, car shows, repair, occasional driving, etc.).
Colorado street rod plates - vehicle must have been made before 1948
