The Early Bird's Nest

Life with our family from a bird's eye point of view

Growing up Miss Daisy

December, 2007

For those of you that have read our other cat pages, you already know that Miss Daisy is one of Mysti’s kittens.  And you already know that she went to live with Bj’s daughter, for which we are truly thankful to have her remain in the family!!!  We still feel very blessed to have a ‘tortie’ in the family, and every now and then she surprises us even more because she certainly is carrying on some of Critter’s tradition!  We received an email recently with the following pictures, complete with ‘both sides of the story’:

First, I would like to tell my side of the story.  My mom went into the closet to straighten out her nice, warm, fluffy clothes (Well, you know, it is chilly outside!!)  I was being really good on the bed and was watching her, but she forgot to shut the door this time!!  As soon as she left the room, I jumped on the clothes and snuggled right on in.  I was warm and purring like crazy.  It was great!!!  Then mom came in and saw me.  I had to go back to my bed (well, mom and dad say it is their bed, but they know it is my bed.)

I went into the closet to straighten out my clothes.  Daisy will do this every time when I go in there, even if it is just to get my work clothes out for the next day.  I did forget to close the door and when I walked in, there she was.  Purring up a storm!  These are my work clothes and she gets hair all over them!!!  I picked her up and put her on OUR bed.

What's that they say about cats having the last word??

"My bed.  My pillow."
